Buenos Aires Little Key

Product description
I came home from Buenos Aires missing the lazy days, sweet weather, and Argentine wine. But, as always, I took solace in the "treasures" I found in the lovely antiques market. My first project was to transform the handmade keys I found -- many of them almost rusted together - into a piece of jewelry that retains its original incarnation while being clearly ornamental.
My favorite part of working with keys is the idea that someone, somewhere used them to do something basic and essential. There is a sense of coming home that I wanted to instill in these pendants. Hopefully there is a element of ease as well because, let’s be honest, coming home to Buenos Aires wouldn't be so bad¦ Just sayin.
I try to imagine what this little key opened. I hope it was a jewelry box or something sweet. There is something girlie about it that I love and I wear mine everyday. The key is one inch long.
