The Key Factor

This key was buried away in a box on a side street of one of Paris’ more sprawling flea markets. I remember that the day was sunny after many grey ones. At the time I didn’t know why I wanted these keys, but I grabbed them anyway. I love the idea that people had used these to open and shut doors and lock things they wanted to protect. It offers a sense of coming and going, movement in general which I hope is reflected in the pieces. The key is about 1 inch in length and the top is about 5/8 of an inch. The pendant can be worn long, but is meant to be on a chain close to the neck. The key is set with two white diamonds and a champagne diamond at the foot.
