After many years rifling through objects in the Roman flea market of Porta Portese I came upon a bounty of prayer cards that are so beloved by the Italians for their symbolism and cultural significance.

I probably learned more about saints than a person not of the cloth should know, but now I know who to go to when my TV is broken - St. Lawrence of course! This charm bracelet is a compilation of some of my favorite saint cards that I found in the market which includes, St. Anne for pregnancy, St. Anthony for lost objects, St. Lawrence for cooks, St. Lucia for writers, St. Michael for sickness and policemen, St. Francis for animals, The Madonna for, well, miracles and whatnot, as well as mothers, Mary Magdalen for women (which makes sense if you think about it), and St. Cosma and St. Damiano for doctors. 
Each frame is double sided with a saint on the front and a saint on the back.
